A test of the linux Operating System.

Ok..well we all know Linux works and works well for those that know how to use it. Ubuntu Linux (6.06 Dapper Drake) is a very user friendly version to get started with. I have used Ubuntu since Hoary Hedgehog and through Breezy Badger to this version Dapper Drake. Must admit they have interesting names. Ok..onto the topic of this Blog. I found a wonderful tool called "Blogbuddy" that allows you to write your blog and post and publish without ever opening a web browser. Nor do you have to have Office (there is a plugin for MS Word in office). This opens a notepad or wordpad looking window with a post button and a post and publish button at the bottom. Oh Wait...Im using Linux..not Windows.. well..funny thing..a wonderful app for linux called Wine. It allows the running of windows apps (some not all) in linux. and so..this is my test of the Linux System using wine and a neat proggie..

Just a few Wolfish thoughts.

Not so Good Morning.

There has been a lot going on since last we "talked". For one, I was refused entrance into Canada. This might not seem like much, but I am married to a Canadian and well..I live there. The paperwork for all this has been in a quagmire of confusion on the USA side. and the delays make me look bad to Canada. ggeeesshhhh...

Anyway, I got in temporarily, but it is subject to determination on a daily basis. this is frustrating. to top it off It costs a hell of a lot to go to work. almost 25.00 a week to park, 10.00 a week in my coffee alone.thats 35.00 a week or 140.00 a month. not good at all.

third thing. an inheirited computer will take nothing but windows (I tried 5 other OS's then windows). so now I have a Windows maching, a Ubuntu Linux Machine, and a Mac OSX (10.4) machine Not to mention a laptop that is in limbo with an d OS and my wifes Mac mini (OS X).

so that is my quandries and musings. Perhaps one day I will be able to write on a regular basis.
